When we started house looking, I knew two things would make me extremely happy: 1) a historical home with lots of charm and character 2) a big kitchen with lots of work space and areas to entertain, teach cooking classes, and have huge dinner parties. When we found our home, I fell completely in love because it had all those things. Even better, the kitchen was open to the dining room and living room, which is a difficult thing to find in historical homes. Another added plus was it had been completely renovated with beautiful chicken wire cabinets, upscale appliances - including a much needed large wine fridge, and a range I have always dreamed to one day be mine; yet, they kept much of the original details from when the home was built in 1928. To tie everything together, our friends, Ginger and James, built us beautiful open shelving on the back wall completing the kitchen to what I think is perfection. We had our first Andrea's Cooktales shoot on the new "set" a few weeks ago, and it went over beautifully. To sum it up, I'm in kitchen heaven so I wanted to share with you! The rest of the house is just as lovely, so I promise to soon share in a new post for y'all!
